Covid 19

Are you running your cruises and tours?

Yes we are open and following all the Portuguese Government and Health Authorities recommendations.

Do you offer hand sanitizing, gloves or masks on board the cruises and tours?

All of our activities offer hand sanitizing/soap to the guests. However, gloves and masks are not provided at this time.

What is the maximum of passengers on board? Can we keep a minimum distance to others on your tours and cruises?

Following Heath Authorities recommendations, we have reduced the capacity of our Cruises and Tours allowing for more free space for everyone.

I can't make it and I need to cancel due to the Covid-19. What should I do?

If you cannot attend our Cruises and Tours for any reason, please contact us in advance. Cancellations are only possible until 24 hours before departure but we understand that things sometimes change and with that in mind if by any chance you cancel your reservation less than 24 hour before departure we will offer you a gift card or voucher to be used by you or your friends and family in a future visit to Lagos or Portimão.

Cruises and Tours

Where is my meeting point?

Our meeting point is located at gate EFGHI in Marina de Lagos and we recommend you to be there 15 minutes before the activity starts. Please note that for our Grotto and Jet Boat Tours the meeting point is by Discovers Tours Office locate on the Marina’s first next to Pizza Hut.

If you still have outstanding payments to Discover Tours please check-in at our office 30 minutes before your activity starts.

Where is your office?

Our office is located in Marina de Lagos, store number 13

Do you offer a pick-up service?

At this moment we don’t offer a Pick-Up or Drop-Off service.

I am running late. What should I do?

What should I wear or bring?

For most of our activities we recommend the dress code to be smart casual. In addition, we recommend you bringing a swimsuit, towel, sunblock or sunscreen, cap and a wind jacket or jumper. Please note that for or our Jet Boat Adventure a swimsuit and a towel are highly recommended.

Do you have toilettes on board?

All of our activities offer toilettes on board with the exception of our Grotto and Jet Boat Tours.

I am pregnant / I have an infant. Can we join your cruises?

Our Catamaran Cruises and Grotto Tours are suitable for all ages and for pregnant women as well. However the Kayak and Jet Boat Tours aren’t recommended for pregnant women and they have age restrictions.

Only children above the age of 6 on the Kayak Tours and above 8 on the Jet Boat Tours are allowed to participate.

Are your cruises wheelchair and baby stroller accessible?

For the moment, sadly our activities aren’t wheelchair accessible, but we do allow for baby strollers and you can access our boats with them. No problem.

I have a dietary restriction? Can you accommodate it?

Yes, we can. Please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so we can accommodate your request. We cater for Vegetarians, Vegans and for Celiac or Gluten free.

Do I need to pre-order my meal for the Golden Coast Cruise?

Yes, you do. Please add your preference so we can cater accordingly. If you booked through one of our agents, you can either use their contact form or contact us directly at info@discover.pt at least 2 hours before your cruise starts. By default, our meal consists of a braised chicken salad with fresh fruit as well.

What is your menu for the Golden Coast Cruise?

You can find our meal choices in the online form when you are making your booking.

Do you accept card payments on board?

No. At the moment we only accept cash payments on board.

Do you speak English on board?

Yes, we offer English and Portuguese live commentary on board for all of our Cruises and Tours.

Do you have lifejackets on board?

Yes. All of our boats are equipped with lifejackets and all the safety gear recommended by Portuguese Law and Maritime authorities.

Are you crew licensed?

Yes. All of crew is fully licensed.

Reservations and Ticketing

Can I book online?

Yes, all of our activities are bookable online at both discover.pt and jetboatlagos.com

Do you accept mobile vouchers?

Yes, we accept mobile vouchers for all of our Cruises and Tours.

I have booked through an agent. Do I need to print my ticket?

No, there is no need to print your ticket. If you own a smartphone, your email confirmation or mobile voucher are both valid.

Can I make a phone reservation?

We do not offer phone bookings. If you like to book our activities, please use our website or one of our Points of Sale.

Do you accept card payment? What about Paypal?

Yes, we accept all card payments and PayPal through our website. However, at our Office and points of sale we don’t accept American Express card payments.

Do you accept large groups and private charters?

Cancellations and Rebooking

What is your cancellation policy?

All of our bookings have a flexible cancellation policy allowing for cancellations until 24 hours before the activity starts.

I am running late. What should I do?

Do you offer refunds? What should I do?

Our cancellation policy allows for cancellations until 24 hours before the activity starts and if you need to cancel before that we can create a voucher or gift card for future cruises or tours. Before the 24 hour period we can issue a full refund, no problem.

In light of recent events like the Covid19 pandemic if by any chance you need to cancel inside that 24 hour window we will issue a gift card for that amount or a voucher to be used in a future visit.

Can I reschedule my booking?

Yes, you can. We can reschedule you according to our daily availability and activity.

One of us feels sick. Can he/she cancel?

If you need to cancel until 24 hours before the activity starts you can but you need to inform us as soon as possible.
If that request comes after that window we will accept it but we will refund you through a gift card or voucher for a future cruise or tour. No full refund will be issued in this case.
